About the Book
Sandra Jenson thinks she’s found the perfect house for her family—a spacious Victorian out in the Wisconsin countryside with a large acreage. And the asking price is a real bargain. Or at least that’s what Sandra believes in the beginning.
Shortly after they move in odd, unexplainable things begin to happen. Not really being a big believer in the paranormal she initially tries to dismiss the unusual incidents as just being random occurrences with no origin to the spirit world. However, things start to escalate, and it’s not long before Sandra starts to realize that they may indeed be sharing their home with those from the Other Side.
Having pushed Jed, her husband, into buying the house in the first place, and using up all their savings in doing so, Sandra feels trapped in a house she no longer feels safe in.
A surprise discovery in the basement leads Sandra on a quest for answers. On her quest she meets up with Dellwood’s handsome town historian, Avery Cordell, whom she begins to have feelings for, though she realizes she must deny her heart in order to save what is left of a marriage that is on the edge of ruins.
With events culminating into a startling climax of possession and murder Sandra comes face to face with an evil so sinister and pervasive it will threaten to bring down all those she loves.
In this book of supernatural suspense Lori Ann Newman shows that the haunting echoes of evil sometimes remain behind long after the scene of a horrifying crime has taken place.
