About the Book
The illustrated book describes the arrival of International 12 foot dinghies, and how they spread to clubs on the south coast and clubs on the east coast of Ireland. There has been a revival of the class following the Centenary Regattas at West Kirby and elsewhere.

Vincent Delany is an active dinghy and small keelboat yachtsman in Ireland, a member of the Association of Yachting Historians with an interest in yachting history in Ireland. He has written an National University of Ireland, Maynooth M.A. thesis 'Yachting and yachtsmen on the River Shannon 1830-1930'. He has also lectured on this subject. His books include 'The Water Wags 1887-2012', 'The International 12 Foot Dinghy in Ireland', 'The Motor Yacht Club of Ireland', 'The North Shannon Yacht Club' and the two projects completed in 2021 were 'The Bray Droleen Dinghy' and a surprising book 'Fahanmura' the story of a unique art deco house in County Dublin.
