About the Book
"New Impressions" is an international, juried exhibition to showcase exploration and creativity with letterpress printing techniques. From this age-old tradition, we strive to challenge and inspire artists to continue the love of printing.
This design features the new typestyle, Lustig Elements, that was created by designers Craig Welsh and Elaine Lustig Cohen when they collaborated to revive a font originally designed by Alvin Lustig in the 1930s.
This is the fourth year for this juried exhibition. There is work on display from 44 artists in 9 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Switzerland, Argentina, Austria, Norway, Brazil and Italy. The work was on display at the Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum in Two Rivers, Wisconsin April 17-June 30, 2018.
