About the Book
Hiking the Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion is the triple crown for panoramic, awe-inspiring views and geological wonders. There's a vast variety of vegetation, mammals and rock formations offered in these high-desert landscapes—from cacti to desert flowers—from horned toads to elk—from slot canyons to the hoodoos—it's a world apart.
Some of the highlights of these three national parks were: climbing up the narrow passageway to Angel's Landing and hiking through the Narrows in Zion; hiking the 8.8 mile Riggs Spring Loop and then continuing our trek another 23 miles through Bryce's backcountry on the Under the Rim Trail; hiking out and back on the Bright Angel Trail to Plateau Point and on the South Kaibab Trail to Cedar Ridge.
