About the Creator
I was born in Standish, MI in 1950. I am the middle child of three children. My father was born and raised in Tawas City, MI and my mother in Alpena, MI. We lived in Tawas City until I was 10 years old. When I was 8 years old our father passed away suddenly of a heart attack at age 39. In a flash our lives changed from happy and carefree to sad and lonely. In 1960 our mother remarried and we moved to Davison, MI where we joined the Thompson family. They loved us as their own and have been very good to us over the years. I married Robert Pocza in 1971. We raised four children together and have been blessed with 15 grandchildren. In February of 2016 my husband passed away after a 3-year illness. Two months after his death our oldest son Robert, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4 Terminal Brain Cancer. The Lord called him home one year later on April 6, 2017. I am now remarried to retired Pastor, Andrew Backus and we reside in Franklin, Wisconsin.
