From September 2016 to October 2017 I photographed as many of the people I encountered within a 5-mile radius of my home in Poughkeepsie, NY as would let me. Some declined, but over 750 acquiesced with support, kindness and good humor. Many also shared bits of information about themselves that reveal the strength, diversity and uniqueness of this place I call home.
