About the Book
WORLD TO RIGHTS
is a project from the Church Mission Society's youth and children's team in 2009.
Following on from the success of FREE FOR ALL in 2007, World To Rights has been touring around cathedrals in the UK, working with thousands of young people to explore the Rights of the Child.
The World to Rights day was made up of educational workshops and a performance. Starting with a basic knowledge of rights, the children explored Victorian times to better understand the importance of protection, healthcare, safety, a loving family and an education in today's world.
Anita Matthews, David Pollendine and Mike North have taken this project to 19 venues to date, working with thousands of young people and children - along with a few adult groups! They also had additional help from a great team of other facilitators throughout the tour.
In pictures, captions, comments and reports, this is the story of World To Rights.
