This is the 2nd edition of this book which is a beginner's guide to collecting ancient and not so ancient coins. The book contains an introduction to the history of coin; followed by a pictorial timeline and then the basics of how to identify Greek, Roman and early hammered British coins in a non-academic way. There are history nuggets for particular time periods and their associated coins, along with handy lists of the kings and queens of Britain, the emperor's of Rome and of course, lots of pictures. There is also a section on the best ways to photograph your new collection.
