About the Book
Visit any tourist hot-spot and one is surrounded by people using cell phones, and cameras to capture their visit and, of course, the selfie stick adds another dimension. Visitors snap away taking huge numbers of images of buildings, monuments, scenes, their friends their family and themselves. The advent of digital photography means that after the outlay for the device there is no cost.
In their enthusiasm to make innumerable digital records of their visit, I do wonder how many tourists stop to appreciate the grandure, history or beauty of the place they are visiting and, indeed, what becomes of all those images?
