About the Book
A small collection of recent images shot on Kodak Tri-X 400, Ilford HP5, and Kodak Portra 400 film. I have stepped back into the darkroom to relearn the process and fall in love once again with the scratches, the grain, the grit, and the surprises that come with creating images with film.

About the Creator

The pathway I have taken to this point in life has included living in Washington state, studying art at Principia College, The Center for Creative Studies and Webster University, time working in Detroit as an illustrator, raising three children, retaining all my fingers while doing woodworking, discovering that I love people and travel — with numerous trips to Greece and Turkey plus Italy, India, Nepal, Spain, and Mexico—and teaching college high on the bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River at Principia College. A great path to walk with no regrets. No idea what is next. Find more of my art at dankistlerstudios.art.
