New York City
Karen Kohler lives unconventionally in art and love. Born in Germany and raised in the U.S., she learned English in a gospel choir, stays married to her college sweetheart and was being paid handsomely in stock options when the call to performance seized her. For two decades she has propelled a critically acclaimed singing career in New York City with intemperate adventures, travels and idle-hour musings, drifting only lately into eddies of narrative and verse. Karen published her first novella, "The Corpses" , in 2017. "Petrichor: Selected Poems" (2019) is her debut poetry publication.
