In 2015, I was wrapping up an ugly chapter in my life filled with heartache, family medical emergencies, funeral after funeral, and finally bell’s palsy. My face was paralyzed. During this time, I read a lot and had more screen time than usual. I also read a lot of books and magazines. I remember feeling frustrated with not being able to see images of women I could relate to. I remember thinking that these women did not encourage me but instead made me feel like I was the wrong size living the wrong life. I started Fierce Life Magazine to build a camaraderie for moms and women of all shapes, shades and sass that are making it all happen.
