About the Book
In October 2018 I am travelling in Uzbekistan where I see a lot of architectural heritage which is overwhelmingly beautiful. Many ancient buildings are decorated with amazing geometrical artwork with colourful ceramic tiles, elegantly painted arabic signs and carved ornaments painted in bright colours.
In public buildings I see beautiful, handmade carpets, wall hangings made of silk and decorated with embroidery. The people who made these works of art centuries ago were mastering their craft.
I wonder if there are still people who are mastering these skills? Who are these ‘masters’ in current time?
Come with me and see the enthusiastic and creative craftsmen I met in this pleasant country.
