About the Book
Atarim square that was built in the mid-1970s, designed by architect Yakov Rechter, to reflect the style of brutalist architecture in Israel. However, the project turned out to be a failure. It was named Israel`s ugliest square and considered as a white elephant. Today the square is up to be demolished and a new project is planned to take its place. The photographs in this book were taken between the years 2013-2016. They reflect the ugliness, the splendor and decay of this square.
