About the Book
This photographic exploration is an appreciation and recognition of a shape we all knew from childhood. Circles appear everywhere in the world around us, we pass them every single day yet it is unlikely that we ever stop and take in our surroundings and notice simple things like circles. My aim is to help people open their eyes to their surroundings, look for circles and enjoy the world instead of staring at the floor or at a phone.
The imagery takes a local perspective on circles in Jersey's urban and rural landscapes. From the headlands at Noirmont to the town centre in St Helier, this book explores the theme of Variation and Similarity through different angles, perspectives, techniques as well as different subject matters and environments yet they all contain circles.
