About the Book
DRCPMAG was born out of a desire to distribute my art in the way that I love to consume it. Growing up in Anchorage, Alaska before the accessibility of information via the Internet, magazines were my ticket to the outside world. every season brought the anticipation of new material. Whether it was catalogs, Smithsonian, or the new Martha Stewart living I memorized each page. The layouts, the PHOTOS the glossy miniature worlds that were brought to me held me captivated. The market as a photographer is over saturated. Everyone is selling the same edits, the same look, the same sessions. I wanted to offer something different, something to look forward to receiving in the mail, something to immerse yourself into. The physical aspect of the magazine is also important to my artistry. There is a physicality lost in todays art and I desperately want to bring it back in some form.
I hope that each person who purchases a Magazine feels the same anticipation and wonder that I did as a kid (and still do, I currently have 5 magazine subscriptions!) I appreciate each and every persons support of my art and look forward to many years of creating content for those who want it.
