About the Book
Members of Tapestry Weavers West (TWW) joined forces with Tapestry Weavers in New England (TWINE) to design and create woven tapestries reflecting the theme of Impact: Climate Change. The selected tapestries convey both personal and universal concerns that individual artists are grappling with as we look towards the future. The works on exhibit illustrate the problems that humanity is facing at this moment in time in the early part of the 21st century. Whether abstracted or representational, these pieces consider the major issues of climate change: melting polar ice, vanishing glaciers, rising seas, wild fires, super storms, chaos, extinction of species, and ultimately our legacy to the future.

I weave with both words and weft; combining fiber with my creative musings, whether it is a poem, a children’s story, a mystery novel or simply a pithy phrase. My tapestries and weavings feature bold curves, elusive text, touches of nature and multiple layers of meaning. I enjoy creating lasting memories of art exhibits by creating memorable and colorful catalogs of the event for all to share.
