Renée Auguste, born in Southern California in 1966, was three years old when her mother first introduced her to the artistic world. From the moment she sketched her first shape, she knew that art is what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. At the age of 14 she received a very special honor, an art scholarship to California State University, in Northridge, California, which further paved the way for her artistic endeavors. In 1991 she opened her own business, Auguste Art, where she created and sold thousands of paintings and, of course, the stories that went with them. She loved adding stories to her paintings which helped the viewer connect at a deeper level. In her 40s she began teaching private art lessons to students of all ages. Through teaching, and learning from her students, she found a whole new way in which to share art and all of her experience and knowledge with the world.
