About the Book
Do you hear the music but fail to see the musician? Rhythms fuse with the clatter of city life as they bend the air we breathe. A busker’s presence is more than auditory. In this series, I have photographed, drawn and spoken with many buskers. I hope to honor these musicians as individuals, and as a group united in their devotion to public art. By paying attention to gesture, form, value, and edges, the physicality and personality of each begins to emerge.
