About the Book
This is a memoir compiled from journals and stories Leila has written about her life.
“I married Corporal Ralph O. Davis in Germany after World War II and came to America as a war bride. In 1947, we moved to Bowling Green so my husband could go to Western on the GI Bill. At that time, Bowling Green was so small there were only two banks, three lawyers and four restaurants."
". . . If God blesses me with another year, I am already thinking about the butternut squash that I am going to grow."
Leila Davis lived to age 100. She lived everyday with a glad heart and a cheerful spirit. Her wish was to be home at her beloved farm where in her last days, she was surrounded by her daughters singing her favorite songs and reading from this very book, the stories she wrote of her rich and inspiring life.

About the Creator
I'm an artist and graphic designer living in New Jersey. I love design, painting, drawing and creating pattern and surface designs and writing. A few of my favorite things: paper, books (pretty and informative books, poetry books . . .), color, fabric, laughing with my friends, playing with my kids, talking with my husband, pink and yellow skies, chai tea latte (4 pump, non-fat, no-water, xtra hot)—on a rainy day and surfing the web—especially when I find amazing artists and designers doing breathtaking work! I also love: lilbirdfly.tumblr.com & blog.kimmoulder.com, kimmoulder.com/blog, and oh! pinterest.com/kimmoulder—don't miss that! :) check them out and follow!
