About the Creator
David Vega

Since graduating from the School of Visual Art in 1986. I captured the ever-changing neighborhoods and the people of the city. Especially, the East Village where I photographed the storefronts, people and events of the counterculture hub of the city. The photographers that inspired me into documentary photography are Walker Evans, Robert Franks and Garry Winogrand. But I also must include Vivian Maier whom I admired for the past years.
