About the Creator
Goot-Ges Simgigat, Sigidimnak, Goot Ges niiy. Wilps Txaatk’anlaxhatkw will witgwiy. Ksim Lax Ganada pdeegay. Gingolx wil witgwiy. Chiefs, Matriarchs, my name is Goot Ges. I come from the House of Txaatk’anlaxhatkw. I am of the Raven tribe. I come from the village of Gingolx, which translates into the Village of the Skulls. We hung our enemies' skulls on sticks, lining them up along the river as a warning. My name is inherited from our Ayuukhl, our living record of our Nation. It translates into Pulls Hair, and all my relations in my House have names that connect together to tell the history of our bloodlines from over 500 years ago. I am of three Nations on the West Coast of Northern Turtle Island: Nisga’a, Tsimshian, and Haida. My English name is Patrika McEvoy. I am an Alcohol and Drug Counsellor, a Health Care Assistant, and the mother of three beautiful children. We are Revolution.
