About
Originally from Edinburgh and raised in the South East of England, I now reside in Nottingham. Before pursuing academia, I worked as a chef and ski instructor, experiences that enriched my creative perspective.
I hold a BA (Hons) degree and an MA in photography and have been a lecturer at the University of Derby for over 25 years. As the leader of the Commercial Photography programme, I am dedicated to inspiring the next generation of photographers.
Beyond photography, I am deeply passionate about history and metal detecting, pursuits that connect me to the stories and artifacts of the past while fueling my creative practice.
