Coach Kimbrook Tennal's incredible career spans 20 years as a head volleyball coach with an overall record of 791-49 (.941). That includes 19 trips to the state tournament where his teams won 11 state titles.

Tennal coached six undefeated seasons. Over that span, his teams held a 137-match winning streak. The Centralia Panthers won five of the last six 1A state titles. And in the final two years, Tennal's teams held a 90-1 overall record.

Outside of volleyball, Tennal saw success across several different sports. He coached girls basketball for 14 years and holds a 307-48 (.865) record with three state championships. Tennal also coached track for 16 years, where he helped guide 14 gold medalists in pole vault, javelin and discus.

Coach Tennal wrote the newspaper articles for his school's sports teams as well as a newspaper column called The Sporting Life for the past 13 years. The inspiration for this book came from his days of playing softball and his own 3 children playing ball.
