About
Jill Poyerd, NWS, began learning about art as a young girl, sprawled across her bed sketching her grey impy cat as he slept. Eventually, she moved on to sketching human family members and her love of capturing likenesses in art began.
Although she studied art throughout her life, Jill didn't pick up on watercolors until her mid-thirties when her mother (also an artist) recommended she give it a try. She worked vigorously to learn the medium and has been painting professionally for six years.
Jill is now an award-winning watercolor artist whose work is in private collections across the country. She exhibits extensively throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and is a signature member of several prestigious art societies including the National Watercolor Society.
