About

Domenico D’Alessandro works in many mediums, including painting, sculpture, multi-media installations, photography, and creative writing. He graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze, Italy, and the University of Ottawa, Canada, in visual arts; he also has a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph, Canada. He was the recipient of several Canada Arts Council Grants. His art and writings have been published in magazines and books. He was Toronto editor for Vice Versa, a multicultural journal that has garnered many graphic and content awards. Domenico’s landscape design work concentrates on regenerative ecological designs for the urban fabric that have received numerous awards. Domenico was born in Collarmele, L’Aquila, Italy, lived many years in Canada, and now resides in Algonquin, Illinois with his wife Susanne and their extended wildlife family on their home acreage which they are working to restore to native ecosystems.
