About
I began a lifelong journey in photography in 1968 with the gift of a Kodak Instamatic 300 from my grandmother. I have carried a camera more or less everywhere ever since. Starting around 2010 I set out to learn how, as they say, to create images, versus take snapshots.
For me, photography is a means for processing being present in the world.
In my journeys I mostly wander, seeking novelty in places both new and familiar.
I seek immersion in the landscape, observant and prepared, trusting that any place can be special.
