Nico van Dongen is a Dutch-born, raised and educated photographer and art professor based in San Francisco who creates "photographic time sculptures" that challenge our perception of reality. He believes that what appears to be real is relative to the observer's perception. His work seeks to emphasize the collaboration between the observer and the observed.
