Luigi Stefano Cannelli, born in Rome in 1956, where he did all his artistic studies, shaping himself with artists such as Mario Cimara, Dante Ricci, Alessandro Della Torre and graduating in Set Design at the Accademia Di Belle Arti in Rome participating on the course of Gaetano Castelli. In the area of figurative art, he had an initial period that could also be interpreted as a key citation, but was, in effect, a fertile period in the stylistic research and study of the multiple techniques of images experimented in the history of art course, from the Middle Ages to today; as regards that, there were significant meetings in the 70s between the artists Giovanni Barbisan, who started him off in the technique of etching , and Romano Parmeggiani who introduced him to the ancient techniques of Italian tradition, for example "egg tempera". However the most significant meeting for his formation was at the beginning of the 1980s with Giorgio Tempesti, historian and art critic.
