About
As a teenager I started on my photographic journey after being given a Canon A-1 by a family friend. After some work published in the Student Newspaper at University, I moved into I.T. which paid the bills but lacked a creative side. After many years of semi-serious snapping on holidays and trips I bought my first Digital SLR, a Nikon D5000, which along with its successor a D5600 have accompanied me around may parts of the world I have visited with my patient Wife Val. After moving to the Scottish village of Lochwinnoch, I have found the easy access to the beautiful local scenery to be very inspirational especially after the flatness of West Lancashire. The lock down has affected many people and for me led to cancelled trips but the local scenery and friendliness of those people I have met in Scotland have made lockdown better than it could have been. My photography is biased towards landscapes and seascapes usually not involving people but with movement of weather and water.
