About the Book
In this work I have re-imagined
the camera’s clinical vision into impressionistic images bursting
with fluid-like swirls of shimmering,
saturated color.
These exuberant scenes were created
simply for the joy of color run amok.

About the Creator
Paul Shufflebotham
Campbell, California
I began a lifelong journey in photography in 1968 with the gift of a Kodak Instamatic 300 from my grandmother. I have carried a camera more or less everywhere ever since. Starting around 2010 I set out to learn how, as they say, to create images, versus take snapshots. For me, photography is a means for processing being present in the world. In my journeys I mostly wander, seeking novelty in places both new and familiar. I seek immersion in the landscape, observant and prepared, trusting that any place can be special.
