About the Ebook
Slot canyon photography is great for those days in the Southwest with clear blue skies; especially when the high sun results in flat landscape lighting. The slot canyons of the Southwest are found in a variety of sizes and shapes. Those canyons with relatively flat and wide bottoms such as Upper Antelope, Canyon X and Long Canyon are easy to navigate and provide ample tripod set-up space for photographers. Unfortunately there is also ample space for crowds of people which can be a challenge for the time exposures required for photography. Although the irregular terrain of Lower Antelope, Rattle Snake and Mountain Sheep Canyons can be more difficult to navigate, the crowds are often smaller and the photographic rewards can be greater. The Lower Antelope Slot Canyon fulfills it's corkscrew reputation and offers some of the best slot images in the Southwest. These images are a mixture of film and digital captures taken over a ten year period.
