About the Ebook
Thundering waterfalls and raging rivers along with bright green foliage and blooming Dogwoods are featured in the annual Yosemite Spring Nature Show. My favorite time for Spring Photography in Yosemite is early May before Mothers Day Weekend. If the weather is stormy and cool, it is possible to enjoy a late snowfall. If the weather is cold, the meadows may have early morning foggy mist and ice deposits may form along the edge of the falls as well . Warm weather can accelerate the snow pack melting increasing the water flow in the falls and rivers and possibly cause flooding in the valley. In some years the Dogwoods don't reach full bloom until mid to late May.
These images were taken over many Springs with 4x5 film view cameras and medium format cameras using both conventional color and infrared films. More recent Springs have been digitally photographed with color and infrared capture techniques.
