About the Ebook
I have been fortunate enough to explore some amazing places over the past decade. The diversity this planet has to offer in terms of its cultures, landscapes, seascapes, architecture, and creatures continues to provide me with an endless selection from which to photograph. It’s because of this and the advances in digital photography that my passion for this creative art continues to grow.
The images in this book were captured throughout the Caribbean, Italy, Malta, Sicily, Holland, Belgium, South America, French Polynesia, Australia, New Zealand and North America. As enjoyable as travel and photography are, capturing the image is only the beginning of the creative process. Returning to the studio and transforming those images into photographic artwork is just as exciting, if not more so.
I hope you enjoy seeing the world through my eyes. Enjoy!

About the Creator
Doug Sturgess is an Atlanta based fine art photographer whose work focuses on quiet moments, strong composition, and a sense of place. His imagery draws from nature, wildlife, landscapes, architecture, and abstract details that are often overlooked, with a particular fascination for remote and northern environments where light and scale shape the experience. Approaching photography as a fine art process rather than documentation, Sturgess emphasizes mood, balance, and how an image lives within a space. His work is produced as high quality archival prints, including acrylic and metal, and has been placed in both residential and commercial settings. Through his photography, he aims to create pieces that feel timeless, inviting viewers to slow down and connect on a more reflective level.
