About the Ebook
Together with the city of Breda the Netherlands, fine art photographer Melanie E. Rijkrs organised a big gathering of pregnant ladies for a photo shoot 4 September 2010 supporting MDG5 - UN's 5th Millennium Development Goal - to reduce Maternal Mortality. Over 100 pregnant women came and posed on the Kasteelplein.
A set of 5 Polaroid pictures won 1st prize in Altered Images PX3 - Prix de la Photographie Paris.
UN: With only five years left untill the 2015 deadline to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called on world leaders to attend a summit in New York on 20-22 September 2010 to accelerate progress towards the MDGs.
