Few people manage to keep the dream car of their youth for over 40 years and into middle age. I have been remarkably fortunate and extremely lucky. Now, almost 42 years to the day that I first was able to say, “That’s my car,” I’ve managed to give her the respect and attention which is her due, with a complete rebuild. I was able to address every single component of what makes up this car, from chassis and engine down to every nut, bolt, bushing and cotter pin. This is the story of the car, how I found it, a bit about our years together. But mostly it is about the rebuild and what we did, and the wonderful people who helped me make it far better than it was when new.
