I don't remember specifically eating many of the things my mother made me, but I remember the love she gave to everyone around her. I remember her serving friends and nieghbors and most readily her family through cooking and baking. I know if she were here today she would spend hours making cookies, suckers, and family dinners with her grandkids. It makes me kind of sad that my children will never feel her love and taste her warm homemade bread. I hope that in some small way when I make my family one of her recipes, her love runs through me and they can taste a piece of who she was.
