"24 Days Down Under with Global City Explorer" is a custom tour itinerary that covers 24 days in Australia and New Zealand. We flew to Sydney, Australia and spent a day there. On the second day we boarded Celebrity Solstice for “12 Nights New Zealand” cruise. We went ashore in Bay of Islands, Aukland, Tauranga, and Akaroa. Our shore excursions in Dunedin were cancelled because the heavy fog prevented the ship from going into the port. The next day approaching cyclone Fay made our sightseeing of the New Zealand Sounds impossible. We headed to Sydney and arrived there a day earlier than planned. We spent 3 days sightseeing Sydney and flew to Aukland where we rented a car for 8 days. We arranged our own lodging and toured the Northern Island. Our trip was taken in January and February 2018.
