About the Creator
John Edgar Plumpton was born in Toronto, ON in 1941 He is married to Joan (nee Merritt) and they have two children, Victoria Aileen Bell and John Nelson Plumpton. They have four grand children and four great-grandchildren John had varied careers: he owned a heavy duty towing business with his father Gerald who was inducted in the International Towing Hall of Fame in Chattanooga Tenn. John was also nominated. Later on he became National Sales manager for Vulcan Equipment manufacturers of Towing and Recovery Equipment. Upon the closure of Vulcan Equipment he became a Realtor and in 2014 was inducted in the Re/Max International Hall of Fame. He is an active Church Member of Grace Presbyterian Church and an Elder for over 15 years. Genealogy became his interest in 1996 and spent years working on the Plumpton and other family trees. He has been published in trade magazines such as Tow Canada and has also presented small business management seminars throughout North America. He is
